Pregnancy

It's been awhile since i've blogged, i'm almost 16 weeks, and about to go to my 4th OB appointment monday :-) and then 4 weeks after that i FINALLY find out what i'm having :-D yippy!!! this is from my last appt. and my ultra sound he wasn't going to do one, but he couldn't find the heartbeat just trying to listen so we did an ultra sound, it was just lower down. (thank goodness i was almost in tears when he couldn't find the heart beat) It actually looks like a baby!!! Tanner is afraid of the face though he says it looks scary haha. My sister Nikki is also Pregnant and only 6 days behind me, she's in town this week for my sisters graduation. She kept whinning that she was bigger then me blah blah blah blah, yeah we measured i'm bigger then her, i'm just taller so i don't show as much as her.
It's way fun having both of us pregnant. i just wish she didn't live in CO. :-( oh well... (I'm due Nov. 12th, Nikki is due Nov. 18th)

Mothers Day!!

We will always love our moms! They gave us life and have taken care of us! I don't think I ever realize how much they do for us once your not under their wing. even though my mom is still helping me out so much! ever since i've been pregnant I never dreamed how hard it would be to grow life inside of me, never dreamed how sick I could get. It wasn't until now that I realized how much my mom has done for me. my baby isn't even out yet and already I'm sacrificing so much for this childs life! and still even though I'm grown and married and about to have a child of my own my mom is still there helping me. she helped me last week clean my house since I've been so sick and haven't been able to keep up with it. she's always calling seeing how I'm doing she even bought me a ton of maternity clothes! I love my mom and I am so grateful for her. its weird to think now I'm a mom and will have to take care of my kids the way my mom did for me. yeaterday at church unfortuently I wasn't feeling good so didn't make it to the first two hours they passed out flowers (that my hubby made sure he got one for me) and a paper with it and I just found it amazing... many years ago the First Presidency issued profound and lasting statement, "Motherhood", they wrote "is near to divinity. It is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind. It places her who honors its holy calling and service next to the angels. The true spirit of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gives to women the highest place of of honor in human life. To maintain and to merit this high dignity, she must possess those virtues which have always, and which will ever, demand the respect and love of mankind... because a beautiful and chaste women is the perfect workmanship of God. Awe, the joys of pregnancy!

I'm almost to my second trimester! I really hope that means no more morning sickness! I've yet to go a day with out throwing up. but some days are better then others. they days I can't seem to keep anything down I hate so much! it makes me really worried for the babies sake. but thankfully that's only about once or twice a week. my sister is only a week behind me and not as bad as I am. I think she's lucky :) this week however has been the worst. I babysit two girls and one has had a headcold or flu or something. anyway I ended up getting it. of course this happens the weekend hubby leaves town so not only am I sick I'm missing my other half like crazy! I ended up just crashing on my parents couch to sick to do anything. I finally caved and called my ob who got me a anti biotic but I still have a really bad cough my ribs hurt so bad from it. my mother in law is just the sweetest thing! she knows how sick I've been and for the life of me I can't even get strength to clean my own house. Tanner helps a lot. but its my job. I just feel bad. and taking care of two little kids isn't easy. so my house is a mess and I'm always saying sorry to tanner and he just says "all I want is a happy healthy wife" but still. my mother in law is more then willing to do anything she wants to come help clean but I just feel awful I can't even ask but I love her to death and I'm so grateful for her! on other news. as of may 15th I won't be watching the girls anymore. but tanner is set in his ways that he doesn't want nor needs me to get a job so i'll be free to clean all then. and make dinner nights for me are so bad I haven't been able to really cook. but hopefully this will change it all! my mom is going baby happy! she has made so many baby blankets for both boys and girls and she's so sweet she is also making me maternity close. I have a nice little belly and can barley fit in any of my regular shirts. its hard knowing I'm getting fat and can't do aything about it. I look forward to giving birth and getting back in shape!

Pregnancy!!!

So before we got married Tanner and I decided we were going to wait at least a year to try having kids. we just wanted to be us. well so much for that one I'll tell you what! haha about 2 months later i just felt that need of "i need to be a mommy" but Tanner and I talked and decided we'd still wait, but more and more I was just being hit with that impression we needed to start our family. I'd be sitting at church and see little babies and just get so upset. :( Finally Tanner gave me a blessing since i was struggling so much, and that did it for him we then decided we'd start our family. however it ended up taking us 5 months to get pregnant, and month after month i just found it harder and harder for me. But i was blessed!!! when i took a test at six in the morning when i read the yes i just couldn't believe it!!! I just started yelling Tanners name and woke him up from a nice sleep and showed him i even cut my leg on something running to him haha. but i was just oh so excited!!!
But what drove me crazy is the doctor won't see you until your about 8 weeks. so April 6th Tanner and i both went to the appt. and they said "this will be the longest appt. because of all the tests" we were done in 30 min. but we saw the baby in the ultra sound and oh my goodness seeing the little thing was just so amazing and the heart beat and hearing it i was almost in tears!!!
In the Ultra sound picture it just looks like a peanut, but it didn't while watching it. i can't wait to see it grow!!! but i for sure have morning sickness! I throw up almost every morning and every night. my back is always killing me. but it'll be worth it in the end. even though i did tell tanner the next one he gets to carry. :D haha but what i find amazing and really fun is my sister NIkki is pregnant also :D I'm only about a week ahead of her. i'm due Nov. 12th on my sister Samantha's birthday and Nikki is due the Nov. 18th. even though i really doubt we'll give birth those days :D i am just so excited for this blessing even if i do feel sick all the time, and want to sleep all the time. i feel bad when i get sick on Sundays since it basically just kills me Tanner ends up going to church himself. but lucky the Miamaid is amazing and is always willing to teach my girls when I'm not capable of teaching. But hopefully now that I'm almost to the 10th week it'll calm down at 12 weeks. I'm only hoping. Tanner and i are SO excited for little Lucy Anne Barker or Isaac Tanner Barker. Even though we both really feel it to be a girl but I'll find out when i can no chance I'm waiting until this baby is born!

Happy my Birthday

So my "birthday" was the 28Th, and I say it in quotes because I'm a leap year baby and my birthday didn't exist this year. It was funny i got SO many "un-birthday" texts. I loved getting them from my sister and brother in law Stacie and Tysen. i was happy they remembered! haha but how it started out was i went to my nephew Preston's basketball game where my sister and my mom met up with my brother and my other nephew Nic. i tried to get him to take pictures and he would cover up his face I finally got one!! Then i headed over to my parents house for a girls movie night with my mom Lori, Mal, and my mother in law. while we waited for Mal and Sandi i read stories to Preston and played with the boys. He's just too goofy
This is my favorite one, Nic's is classic!!! oh and Mal was there already. haha but when they got there Mal gave me her present from her and i LOVED it
She knows me well!!! and Tanner and I needed more dishes and so I asked my mom for some. the one's i wanted were only 4 sets of each and if Tanner and I had more company then 2 guests I'd like more, well being as sly she is called up Sandi and asked her if she wanted to get one for me and she loved the idea so i now have two sets of them!!!
They are SO cute!!!! to girly for Tanner though. haha Well we watched a movie since Tanner said that i couldn't be home until 5 then called and extended it cuz he needed more time. Well i pull up at home and Tanner comes out in his suit :-) i walk in and he's got the table all nicely set up
He got me Olive Garden cuz he knows how much i LOVE it. He got me roses for the table! and sparkling cider since it's the most i can drink for 21 haha
and he had a movie for me
We never saw it before and it was horrible!! haha bad acting. While staying at home, our Friends Tyson and soon to be Erin Duffin stopped by to wish me happy birthday and brought me some cookies Well Tanner had been sick all week and I all of a sudden i just felt horrible. i told him that was one gift i would rather not have. but when we were going to bed i was moving my pillows and i found a "willow tree statue" and it was the symbol of I LOVE YOU
He loves me. and then I moved my other pillow and found another one, this time the "birthday girl" one.
Tanner made my birthday so great. and i loved every minute of it!! He's the best hubby anyone could ask for!!!

Seattle and then some...

So Tanner and I got to spend Valentines in Seattle, he got a call from his old companion Chase saying he was getting married on Valentines, then mentioned how he'd love him to go to the Temple ceremony in Seattle, and we figured Tanner had PTO and I could get work off so we made a mini vacation of it, we left on Feb. 11Th and came back on the 15Th. We decided to not put miles on our car so we got plane tickets, which by the way i HATE flying SO much!!! But we headed of at 1 and got there at 1, time differences of course. We got on a shuttle to pick up the car we rented. Thankfully we got a GPS or we would of never found anything! Our hotel was only a block away from Space needle so it was an amazing site! We basically ate and went to the hotel room after driving around and we decided to stay in for the night. we were exhausted and just went to sleep. the next day we headed to the aquarium which was fun and right there on the ocean! It was windy though. Then we hung out with Chase and his soon to be Wife Lanae, and we hit up underground Seattle, which was cool, but not what i expected, but we got to go underneath the sidewalks and everything. Back in the 1900's they used skylights to light up underneath when they built over it
They covered all them up, but this one uncovered its self. Then after this we went to Pikes fish Marget. Which was really cool, but i hate fish so the smell was NOT good.
This is where they do the shouting and fish throwing. after that we headed back to the hotel and went to bed early again (not missing the office of course haha) on 13Th we hit up the woodland zoo, which is HUGE 92 acres.
This is us pretending we're owls. haha i didn't get the owl i wanted to in the background though. Later that night we walked down town and by the ocean us on the boardwalk by the ocean. awe downtown Seattle! Now on Valentines day we of course had the Temple wedding to go to (the whole purpose of going down) and getting ready i realized i had left my slip for my skirt at home, made me really stressed i didn't want to go out and buy another one. but then my brain clicked on and i had a white undershirt that i just slipped down and used. haha i didn't have to buy another one since i have like 3 at home for the case of forgetting it on trips. it worked out great. well we headed to the Temple and waited awhile before having to go in and so we walked around the grounds for awhile
Valentines the day of love, it was amazing to see two people get married for time and all eternity! We ended up not staying to meet them outside the temple since they'd be to busy with family and they aren't doing a reception until April so we left back to Seattle to go to the EMP museum for my hubby he wanted to go there SO bad! after that we didn't have any dinner plans but just for fun decided to see if you could get in the restaurant on the top of the space needle, and we were able too! it was beautiful! and good food!
Tanner and Seattle, so the where you ate it moved slowly so you could eventually see all around it.
me down town, I'm not going to lie the spinning and height kinda made me motion sickness, but i soon got over it.
It looks SO beautiful when the sun went down!!! The next day we got up early to head to the airport Waiting for the plane :-( i miss Seattle terribly and i do kinda hate being back to work but all is well.

Well on other news to catch up, I still work at Subway :( I'd love another job but with the way the economy is i can't seem to get another, but I'll stay until Tanner and i have a baby... which by the way doesn't seem to come easy, i seriously thought i was pregnant last month, had all the symptoms but that was not the case after all. It was pretty hard. 4 months and still nothing :( we wanted to keep it on the DL but some how my in laws found out and my mom new since i needed to ask questions but everyone knows and now if i have the flu or anything people think I'm pregnant and hiding it. (trust me if i was pregnant you'd all know) but Tanner and I are doing great LOVING married life. we have been married for 6 months now :-) well my "birthday" is coming up... i don't get a real one this year (i hate leap years by the way) not to excited about it. The big 21 isn't to exciting for Mormons haha oh well hope all is well with everyone!

He'll always be my Valentine!

So I used to always hate valentines day so much! to me it was always "single awareness day" but now that I'm married i'll always have my tanner as a valentine! we are spending valentines in seattle! one of tanners companions is getting married today so we get to go to a temple wedding! I think it's the best way to spend valentines seeing two people who love each other get married for time and all eternity! I hope you all have a great valentines! Love you all!
